Drl's from Vivid
Drl's from Vivid
Had mine installed today at dealer. They look terrible. Passenger side leds are all different shades of white to yellow. Called customer service and was told that the first 40 sets were not tested at Vivid, but only tested at their manufacturer because they knew we were in a hurry to get them so they rushed them out. Also told to take a pic of the lights so they could verify they were not right. Bad Quality control!!! Not too happy because i will have to pay the dealer to take off the bumper and reinstall the other set. Hopefully Dan will rectify it. So just a note to the other first 40 of you out there, hope you have better luck with yours!
Update: The lights are working the same on both sides. The yellow went away on the passenger side. Took three days for the lights to work right. So going to keep these in for now and see what happens. 5/29/12

Damn. I just got my set yesterday. OP, how much did the dealer charge for the install? I see that another guy did it himself but it took 5 hours. I don't really want to pay the dealer but I don't have 5 spare hours these days (3rd baby coming reaaaal soon).

Have some faith and give Vivid an opportunity to take care of the issue. I have a similar issue and have found Vivid to be very professional! By the way, how much did the dealer charge you for the install and how long did it take them?

just have to take off the bumper and plug n play - at least if Vivids setup is like the one we put together. Shouldn't be any re-wiring etc.
The turn signal assemblies are made by Koito in Japan, same manufacture as our headlights.
Pretty easy to remove, just one clip and a screw - but unfortunately has to be accessed from the backside of the bumper.

That is my plan (I presume you mean Autowerks)! Just wanted to get an idea how many hours the dealer charged for the install.
I'm gonna wait till someone can demonstrate how to test these before installing them.

This would be very very disappointing given how long everyone waited for these after paying up front. Exactly the kind of aftermarket experience non of us want.
Hopefully we hear about some successful installs very soon ...

Had my lights installed by Tillson in Philadelphia. They are perfectionists and installed them as I would do if I had the time. All wiring was soldered and properly strapped as if the factory had installed these! Great job!
