Clutch Slippage with Tune

How does one know that they are getting the clutch slippage? Is it very noticeable? or only slightly? Does it only slip at full boost / heavy load or does the tune just end up chewing up the oem clutch and the clutch becomes troublesome on an everyday basis.

I ask because I think I may have my clutch slipping with just a Softronic tune but I am not certain. Might be just in my mind. The car accelerates fairly strongly but I feel it inconsistent and am wondering if that has something to do with the clutch slipping some of the times.

Any feedback or experience would be insightful.

6th gear on highway. Keep rpms around 2400 and floor it. If rpms rise and speed doesnt then clutch is slipping.

You will know it will smell, and the tons will be going up and you will not be accelerating.
You will notice this wheb your in full boost.

If your clutch had some where it could very well be slipping with the increase in power.

How many miles are on your car?

If you have high miles, there is a chance your clutch could be slipping. However, if you have mileage, my thought is the tune is a little much for your factory plugs. I would drop to a colder range.

I have simply a softronic tune on my 09, but I only have 2600 miles. I still intend to swap the plugs, and coils when I install my europipe.

Did you already ordered the europipe? The other guy in cincinnati doesn't even have a courtesy to return the emails, what a jerk.

My clutch started slipping immediately after I installed my Switzer tune. Here is a video of it happening:

RPM goes up but no power to the wheels.

I installed a Tubi Race Exhuast & Evoms600 tune a few years back. About 1-2yrs after I installed(3k miles) the clutch started to slip. Switched the stock clutch out with a Sachs 2.5 w/ LWFW. Love it. Revs are snappy & quick.

the Sachs 2.5 clutch kit is pretty sweet. All the feel of stock with enough guts to hold 700+ hp. Mine has been without issue now for over 10k miles
