Indeed, pleasure derived from my new 997.1TT tip is directly related to throttle pressure. I can feather it and bumper to bumper traffic is comfortable and easy. But most fun is when you have an opening and reason to go 30->50 or 40->60, or, even better, a free and clear on-ramp. I usually drive about 3x a month and have been driving it every day since I bought on Monday (honey, need me to pick you up anything in the outer suburbs?) Right now I am living for the on-ramps :-) Even at low speeds though the fabspeed exhaust sound reminds me I'm driving a monster ....

Subject should have been "Just the tip..." Sorry I could not resist.
I considered the tip myself, but realized that this was a weekend car and not a commuter so I preferred rowing my own gears. I also felt that with PDK technology out there, that I would be driving older tech...

I had the "older tech" worry as well -- and I loved the PDK in my 997.2S -- but I got over it for two reasons:

1. I didn't think PDK was worth another $25,000 or more premium to what I could pick up a Tip for (with Sports Chrono and all the goodies)... the Tips seem to be in a decent sweet spot if you worry about deprecation

2. The car is so d&mn fast I am not sure I really want to focus on shifting much. I am not a pro driver or anything, granted. Gas + steering + brakes keeps me plenty busy and I still feel the need to be 100% focused on the road... Barely time to even glance at the boost gauge ha.
