GT2 Depreciation & Potential
GT2 Depreciation & Potential
Long time 996TT owner. Time to move up or move on. Saw a low mile GT2 here in Houston the other day, and it is breathtaking. Yellow, all the right bits, 4k miles, $143k ask.
Now my short list has a few nice cars on it, f430, Gallardo spider, then up to early Murcielagos, finally Scud and Ford GT.
I'm kind of sensitive to depreciation after the last couple of cars tanked badly.
The f430 and Gallardos are mass produced, and they will depreciate rapidly, although their curve has flattened out for early models.
The Murcielago depreciation is almost over (?), and the Ford is actually appreciating.
So how does a GT2 fit in? One depressing aspect is their depreciation curve. The local car has gone from $213k to $143k in 4 years. If you look at 996 GT2s, they go down as far as $70k.
And the GT2 RS may be the shining star for desirability.
So do you think the curve starts to flatten out soon?
