The LED kit does not come with the trim tool kit. A flat blade will work if your very careful and wrap the blade in some thing soft. I do recommend getting a Trim Tool Kit just to be safe, so you don't scratch or tear anything.

Well I got the kit on Friday and installed the LEDs yesterday. Big difference. Very updated to today's LED interior lighting. It didn't take me quite 10-15 minutes but I was being ultra careful. More like an hour. But over all i would highly recommend the product. Got the blue 5 piece plastic tool kit from Harbor Freight Tools for $6.99
