08 turbo vs 12 GTS
No, it can not but if you buy the 2009 you'll get PCM3 just like the one in your GTS.
Yeah, darnit. It sounds like '09 is the year I want, as I do a bunch of commuting and I need bluetooth and I like Nav. I had an '08 cab and traded for the GTS, in part so that I'd have Bluetooth, as well as Nav and ventilated seats. I haven't seen any comment on the Bose stereo upgrade, but I feel that the stereo in the GTS is significantly better than the Bose in the '08.
There's a very nice basalt/terracotta low mile turbo cab at Porsche of Naples, with LSD, lots of leather options, and a sport shifter, but I can't see doing it and then having to monkey around with an aftermarket head unit.

The caller name from my contacts is shown in the dash (in the lower middle part), the steering wheel controls for hanging up etc works as well (my car had the PCM and built in GSM phone option).
Music playback from the iPhone over BT works great, it even reconnects and start music playback once you get back to the car. So if I am listening to something on spottily and stops to run in and shop some food, once back in the car it starts the music where it ended.
I use MoBridge in my 2008, works well in general and does all the functions but I don't recommend it because it has a beeping noise with ipod, a design flaw. The MoBridge phone function OTOH is fantastic with crystal clear voice reception and transmission - as clear as my Lexus's OEM bluetooth for example. Because of that beeping noise with ipod, I don't recommend MoBridge and IMHO Dension is probably the best choice at this point.
So bottom line: after-market is not that expensive, not a major hassle to add, *does* work and do major functions reasonably well, but it's not just "perfect." I vote for 2009 because in my mind the Mezger Turbo is a long term keeper and therefore if you could afford it, it's worth it to pay a little more to get a newer car, besides the newer PCM. There are other factors involved, such as what else is on the car. For example I would take a 2008 PCCB over a 2009 non-PCCB for example. But all else being equal, 2009 is the one.
got 2007 turbo with no issues except had to replace the clutch slave something lol it was pedal going all the way inside and not coming back untill u pull it back and was under warranty fix.
other than that everything runs great and IMHO get a CPO or similar it's a peace of mind. mine on extended warranty till 2016 since i can get only 9 years
