A little while ago the choice was clear for the V1, now it seems not so clear.
I live in the same area as you, have the 9500ci complete with the jammers and all. I must say that the laser jammer has saved me more than a handful of times. Just last week on the turnpike near exit 14 it performed its magic.

Hands down worth the money!

good luck

Thanks much. This seems to be the best idea. Transfer the 9500ix between cars and get the ZR4 shifting setup. Many stalwarts for the V1, but apparently the integrated Escort solution provides perfect protection with even fewer false alarms. Would be nice to have the integrated stealth solution, but hard to drop $1700 into the car that you can't take out when you sell it.

If you discuss your exact concerns with detailing dymanics they will create the right soloution for you. I chose the Escort system after telling them what I wanted to do. I wanted stealth, easy to use technology designed to work together. I did not want one interfering or hindering the performance of the other.

I would not get the ZR4 "shifter" untill you do more research. I would stick with LI or maybe the new blinders for jammers.
V1 for me. Arrows are the only way to go. Read V1's reason for not going with GPS lock out. http://www.valentine1.com/gps/

I like the escort for the GPS as in LIVE. That is super handy if you are on a busy road. And as to the GPS lockout that is dumb.

Do tell. Doing all the research I can. Seems that the new Escort has left the community pretty divided on the best solution. Biggest difference to me seems to be a lack of laser integration in the V1 solution. Also, trying to find the right laser jamming solution - who makes the "blinders" and what is LI? Also most surprising that the V1 is also the cheaper solution now.

Those tests seem to be none too favorable for the Z4 Escort laser shifters. Sensitivity of the v1 also seems to be clearly superior. The built in Escort seems the most elegant and complete, but the v1 and Blinder setup probably the best choice.

If you get caught with one, they will confiscate it and give you a big fine or even a misdeamoner if you're determined to be "actively" using it.
In florida laser jammers are legal because hospitals use laser. Radar jammers are not, but I understand they really do not work anyway. As you indicated, however, very little if any laser is used in my area and putting in my laser diffuser was somewhat of a waste.
I have a redlline and V1 also. The V1 is always working correctly so can be trusted. This redline, however, has saved me a couple times. It picks up radar much earlier than V1. I have picked up a signal 3-5 miles down the highway with redline, but V1 was quiet. Then as I drove over the hill, there the copper was and both V1 and Redline went crazy. In these cases Redline saved me wheras V1 would have failed. However, this copper used on/off very effectively....because V1 was not as sensitive I did not pick up signal way down the road. V1 is OK as long as another car is within a mile is in front of you, but more than that the on/off copper will catch you. With redline, it is much more sensitive with another car hit by copper 3-5 miles down the road, but can be aggravating sometimes because of its more sensitivity to pick up false signals. Its fun having them both in the Porsche, one on far left and other far right.

I have seen lidar jammers work first hand. We have a group in Houston that test twice a year. So they do work. Do all brands work? NO!! All I will say is do you home work. Do not buy just on name brand.

If you're buying a detector and no jammers, V1 all day. Love mine. Never let me down.

If you do buck up the money for the jammer, I've been pretty happy with the RL360i K40.

PM me if you have any questions.

Why not buy the V1 for radar and install the Laser Interceptor (LI) for the laser protection? That hands down would be the best protection possible.

The Escort Redline as far as detection, distance of warning, etc, is one of the best.

It doesnt have all the fancy GPS based warnings of cameras, traffic, etc, but if driving fast /covering large distances very quickly and getting an early warning is what you want, the Redline is a great choice.

V1 paired with a jammer you can own the road! Although when I used my RD I wouldn't be as aware, I would trust the v1 to catch but in reality it's not alerting you unless the beams are out we can't forget that.
