First p-car on the way (997.2), need help with mods...
To OP: Congrats and welcome to the club. You're on the right track for the mods. Just a couple of comments:
1. ECU tune: Through unusual circumstances, I ended up with two different tunes in my car, one immediately after the other. Just want to comment regarding a point in your first post, whether the tunes are the same: although objectively, typical stage 2 tunes are similar in that in general they gain 10% hp, subjectively, they do NOT feel the same. In my car, one tune would explode off line, the other gains more linearly. I suspect this is related to the boost the tuner puts in, but am not sure. Which one is better? I don't know. The final score will require a complicated test with a collection of tuners and a neutral third party (in other words, it will never happen), and it also depends on the driver - what he's looking for in a tune.
2. Wheels: For beautiful esthetic and light weight, my favorite is HRE. For light weight and cost, OZ (not that OZ is not beautiful - just not as beautiful as HRE, to my eyes YMMV). If I were to get a new wheel now, these are the 2 I would look first. Champion is also very good, but third on my list. All 3 companies have been around a long time and all 3 have impeccable reputation.

HRE is definitely top dog but also looking at a lot of the new vendors on the market. Most offer lightweight packages for their wheels. Some people have had mixed experiences with many of them but I haven't had issues, for example with ADV.
Close to pulling the trigger on EVOMS for the tune, Akra for the exhaust, Bilstein for the suspension. Still mulling over wheels though.
Thanks as usual Can. I have learned a lot from your posts.
