Thanks for your good explanations.
- so you have to change to the newer steering wheel control modul also.
Did you remember the part number of yours?

Regards
David

That looks amazing! I hate the look of the multifunction on the 997.1. Having its functionality coupled with the "thicker sport" steering wheel is perfection.

Love the newer wheel! Also I like the Multifunction abilities. Congrats, it looks much more at home and sportier in your car. The triangle looks like it belongs in a Cayenne or Panamera, still nice, just more luxury looking than sporty.

Parts ordered: Note I had to buy a wheel with the grey face because for whatever reason a black wheel already assembled with black MF was almost 1200 more??????

997-347-803-51-A34 - black wheel with grey face
997-613-463-01-5Q0 - multifunction black face
997-803-089-12-A34 - black airbag in leather not leathertte
997-613-289-01- steering control module

I did a dry run on my car and I ran into an issue where the multifunction controls were not enabled but illuminated. Reason being is the incompatibility of the 997.1 module with the 997.2 wheel. Even tried disabiling/reanabiling it in PIWIS, no luck. So if you're adding the 997.2 wheel and want multifunction capability you'll need a new control module.
Give Suncoast a call they'll walk you through what you need based on your config.

Significantly more complicated with tip. My understanding is that the modules from the .2 cars have now two versions. The latest version of the part is not compatible or programmable for the .1, to get paddle shift to work. Multifunction on paddle shift wheels is not possible to work.
Tom compliments on the result! Love how it matches the black leather PCM.

G911 can't speak to a tip conversion but I believe it's been done. Give suncoast a call I'm sure theyve worked with someone on such a conversion.

Nick thanks for the compliments.
