New owner to 997 turbo
Thats the bad thing about kiddies getting the car. They are true ricers at heart and bought a badge not the car. Its about a look and a number.
I am fairly new to this forum but I must say that your comment is not appropriate. "Ricers" is a very racist term and most likely not appreciated in a forum that is about fellow car people. BTW I am a white guy if you must know. Once agian OMG6AMG welcome to the family and enjoy your new ride.

I love WHITE guys that take offense for other races, when they dont even know what they are talking about.
You should really look into cars and the history before you come on here and start calling someone a racist.
So please go away, and do something besides taking offense for a comment that A: you feel is directed at a race you are not part of. B: its not even related to a race C: looking like a complete FOOL doing so.

I can keep posting links for you but its clear its a car. Funny that you ASSUMED it was the person, which is the sign of a real racist. Most people dont even know or care the race of the driver but for some reason you do. Are you really a racist Dawich? Why do you care about the race of the driver so much?

Here have a read. In Internet slang, a troll (<small>****.:</small> /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] The noun troll may also refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted."
While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[

THANKS TROLL
PS Just asked my 34 yo Wife what a ricer was to which she responded " its a neon or such with a shopping cart wing on it like Shawn has" Shawn BTW is my WHITE brother in law
I am sure there is a website for those that think like you, taking offense for the world, ensuring that everyone has it fair, so you need to sell your turbo and give the proceeds to someone worse off than you, because obviously a car forum is not the place for you

Once again congrats on the car. I bought mine when I was 23. Your doing good keep it up.
Just because a younger adult gets a car doesn't mean he's a ricer. I've had numerous high end cars. Almost everything except lambo and Ferrari. There's always jealous people out There because they wernt successful enough as a younger adult to obtain a beautiful vehicle like a 997 turbo. Everyone has the same opportunity in life, it's not his fault that he was able to obtain the same car as you 20 years earlier. We're all here to share info and experiences about our p-cars no reason to put others down.

Seems the dude with the NEON, Si, WRX, always had an Ebay body kit before he had the car.
Congrats on a great Birthday present !! It's simply stunning looking
Sorry to hear about the ticket though, it happens to the best of us. Any other plans for modifications ? I would consider a LED Lighting Kit if you haven't already. Keep us posted and enjoy.

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Everyone has had the same opportunity in life? Not exactly. I'm not one to start any "trolling" or go off OP topic, but...
A) Congrats on your new purchase
B) how exactly does one become so "successful" at 21 w/o help from parents, funds, hand me down companies, etc? I didnt think this was still the dot come boom where an internet company can get bought out (for tons more than its worth) despite it being mostly useless.
C) I've had to work from the ground up, literally. i come from a middle class family and have worked to pay for every single thing on my own because I had to, not because my parents wanted to teach me the value of something and I still knew deep down inside I'd be ok in the end. Its about old school 'eat what you kill' needs.
D) i grew up around a lot of rich kids who think / thought they're entrepreneurs and did things on their "own" at young ages. News flash - that doesnt happen without some form of backing from someone. Sure there are those that manage to secure VC or PE backing, but thats not exactly common. (Also most likely due to someone elses backing or relationship).
All in all, congrats. I'm 33 and bought my TT earlier this year and I was proud of myself. Ive had the M cars and luxury cars and all that also. Success is sweeter when its earned, not pretended to be earned. If you're truly self made, you wont be offended by what I said or the aforementioned posts' curiousities are. In business, things also dont go according to plan. Maybe I will have to sell my TT one day, but I know where I came from and I'm not too proud or offended by anyone or what they can say about how I get things or why I may get rid of em one day.
There arent any shortcuts to success.
Enjoy that turbo, safely.
