8 inchs wheels on front?

Im considering buying a set of wheels from a friend however the fronts are 8 inches wide vs 8.5 stock. The rears are the same. the Fron Sizes are:

New wheels 19x8 et 44
Stock wheels 19x8.5 et 56

so according to my calculations it should fit as the more agressive offset will counteract the narrower width.

thougts? tks

It will probably be ok as far as the fitment, but you are losing contact patch going with a narrower tire... Maybe for a winter set-up?

Net increase in understeer, which is not what you want. However, this might be partially offset by the increased front track. I went from 8" to 8.5" on a C2S and thought there was a notable decrease in understeer.

test fit some champ wheels. It clears the caliper by about 10mm. Enough?

10mm should be fine. We have seen closer. Fitment looks nice - very flush to the fender.
What do you think?

w/ the exception of the front side, they are pretty much flush. I like the way it looks, however a slightly lowered stance would look letter. The weight vs the stock turbo (forged) wheels are noticeable in my hands!
Now Im off for a agressive, street, alignment. thanks!
