I've had these for a while now and finally decided to install them this morning. The look may not be for everyone, but I definitely think they look BA!

Super easy install as well!

^^^ Thanks all! I am super pleased with these....I just love the look. They are rather stealthy as well. From 10 yards out or so you can't really even see them. You really don't notice them until you are about 10 feet away. Wasn't too sure if I was going to like them mounted in front of the louver's...they fit and look super clean on the car and in person. If you are looking for really nice high quality mesh grill covers for your TT, I highly recommend these!!!

that looks great! And they protect your radiators

What's the make of your front lip? How does it hold up to scraping? Your car is lowered yes?

Also can you post pics of the little fins at the front of the front wheel wells?

Thanks.

Was this hard to install yourself? Did you have to take the bumper off? I think I would get these if it offered protection from rock chips and debris hitting the radiators.

Thanks

Dianic,

Front lip is made by Champion Motorsports / Werks1. This is the original spoiler from taking delivery of the vehicle new. Currently it has seen 30,800 miles. Its holding up really well, although you need to be careful driving around town and know where you are going and how to get in and out of those establishments. The carbon tape you see in the center is covering up a crack compliments of my wife. She pulled into a parking stop and beached it...thus cracking it...needless to say, she no longer drives the car! She did get me a replacement though, I just haven't installed it yet. There are two metal skid plates on the underside that truly do their job of saving the carbon. And yes, my car is lowered.

Regarding the fender arch extensions: I designed these and they will only fit with the Werks1 spoiler. These are my Gen 2 designs, same as Gen 1, just 2mm (G2) carbon verses 1mm (G1).

MK23:

Super quick and easy install. No need to remove anything other then the packaging they came in. Each piece has four or five metal clips welded in place. They just snap in behind the openings and lock down in position. Sub 20 minute job...really!

If anyone is interested in purchasing a set, I have a promo code linked to my ZunSport account for special pricing. Just shoot me a PM.

Cheers

Do you make these for the 996 turbo?

I should probably know this but will they also fit a .2tt bumper? I think the should be the same.... Thanks

VID997 03-06-2013 09:30 PM

I would venture to say absolutely yes.

dinorocz 03-07-2013 07:02 AM

looks great and I got to say much easier to install and clean (when needed) than my FVD mesh grills.... Mine get installed behind the plastic slits on our cars which meant the bumper came off... the hardest part on my install was shaping the mesh around the back end of those plastic slits... WHAT A PITA....

anyways, wish I'd have seen this about a year ago, lol, looks great and I hope you're happy with their functionality!
