question about 997 rear toe adjustment:

Before I install my new set of Michelin PSS, I want to get the alignment set up for more reasonable tire life. (the PS2s were to the cords in 8K easy miles) The alignment has been done with the camber is at -2 degrees and the toe in the upper-middle of the acceptable range.

Since I have lowering springs, we can't get any less camber now. I want to change the toe to closer to the lower end of the range.

Is the toe adjustable with OEM parts? I read about guys buying adjustable toe links and it made me think they were necessary to adjust the toe.

The toe is adjustable but with the drop from the springs, you are limited. You want to be around .10 to .14 toe in each side. As you adjust this, you may notice that the negative camber decreases a little. No biggie unless you are tracking it. If that is the case, you will need to get the adjustable toe arms w/ lock for the factory excentric bolt. RSS makes nice ones.

Were you aligned after the spring install? You easily get a lot of toe out after lowering, which kills the inside edge of your tires.

Does anyone know the street/sport - not track - alignment specs for a '08 turbo? Is there a post somewhere with the stock alignment settings? Thanks.

Car was aligned after drop. The least camber they could get me was -2.0 and the toe is at .22 The toe is within specs, but I want to get closer to .1 to help tire mileage. Maybe if I can get less toe, the camber can be less, too.
