Well I now have new TPMS sensors through my CPO but I couldn't tell you how much it was. Since it was under warranty all I have is N/C. Sounds like Tire Rack is the place to go in the future though.

Yeah, if I had to guess they probably charge $210 for the sensors and valve stems, our dealership likes to charge 10% over list price for some reason. Labor rate is likely $135 an hour. All total my guess is ~$1000 our the door.

I hope that makes you feel better.

I repeat, why buy Beru sensors for $330 when you can buy ITM ones for $160. One, I'm checking my pressure manually periodically anyway and two, you don't even see the things when they are mounted on the wheels. Seems like a Porsche taxed waste of money.

Had a new set of michelin super sports installed today. They told me I should replace my TPMS since there doing the tires and wanted a $1,000!! They said 2 hours labor plus 800 in parts. They work fine now, so why replace them if they work. My car is an 07' with 6,500 miles on the dot as of today. Im gonna try the new set that Conrad(Ryem3) suggested.

At times, it's better to have dealership do the work for some added piece of mind at least wheels/tires related .

I can not tell you how many times our local high end wheel place has scratched the wheels and damaged the tires but then again may be that has to do with living in KY

Once I saw the dealer replacing the tires, I was hooked, not a scratch on the wheels.

I had discounted sensors from the big distributor in fl installed. Cost less than $200. They readout perfectly and appear even more accurate than oem (at least they readout the right pressure! ) Buying oem sensors is a waste of money. I agree that you definitely want to be careful about installers. If I ever have an issue with these, I'll post to the thread, but I don't expect I will!
