possible clutch problem/issue...

i received my car yesterday from the dealership after the major service. In the evening, i drove the car (the engine was not too hot) and i felt that when i shifted from 1st to 2nd, there was some sort of delay in the clutch engagement/disengagement and i felt this disc rubbing noise from the back of the car.

Or it must have been that i felt it at the pedal. The pedal was working fine. To describe it exactly, i felt that the clutch assembly was stuck for a bit.

The clutch, pressure plate, flywheel etc , the whole assembly was changed 12,500 mls ago.

Any idea on what is causing this issue?
