Spark plug change ahead of tune.

Long story short, my engine is currently out (coolant leak) on my 2007 997.1 TT tip 52k miles. I am thinking now might be a good time to replace the spark plugs since the engine is, well, already out. I did it last at 38k (engine was out for something else). I do not have tune and exhaust yet but plan on getting them in the next month. I am set on getting EP1 for exhaust, and am thinking Softronic or proto for tune (I will be running 93oct nearly all of the time). I know there have been several posts regarding Spark plugs (I have been reading through them for the past several hours.... lol). But at this point I am running out of time and need to make a decision. I always feel so rushed these days.

1. Do I want plugs and coils, or just plugs? (I was going to stick w/ the stock plugs / coils).

2. 0.025 seems to be the general consensus in gap for a stage 1 tune. Is there any harm in having them gap'd like this, w/o the tune in place yet? Is there any negative to it at all? Also, if 0.025 doesn't sound reasonable please let me know.

If anyone who is knowledgeable can chime in it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you need 1step cooler than stock. Proto sells them and will pre-gap them for a small fee.

Plugs

I would do the plugs and inspect the coil paks for any cracks, Better to do the work now then have to do it later $$$$

I have a softronic tune and I am very happy with it, Contact Dan @ vivid racing he will hook you up with tune and the correct set of plugs you need.

Trust me, You will think you have A DIFFERNT car...

I also did the coolant leak fix at the dealer and replaced stock plugs with 1step colder NGK7eix even though my stock plugs were only 14 month old and 7k miles. I have the softronic tune(exhaust and 93oct). Car seems to be stronger and smoother than before.
According to Dan, I don't need to re-gap the plugs. They came with 0.030mm from the factory.

I just ordered my Europipe Stage 1 exhaust today!

I think I am going to go w/ the Bosch plugs gapped at 0.025 this time around. I would go for the Denso but I don't think I will have time before the engine goes back in. I just want to make sure the plugs will perform well (HP wise) for at least 10k miles. Then next spring I will most likely swap out w/ the Denso's.

What do you guys think?

P.S. My car has been in the shop for a few weeks now, they had some other engines that needed out who showed up first ..lol. I am going through turbo withdrawal and the weather is getting warmer near Chicago.
