Swapping Seats...follow up

Question for those in the know...

Just purchased adaptive sport seats to replace my standard power seats. Looks like there is four hex screws to remove and a couple plugs. Are there some procedures that must be followed to remove and install due to airbags, electronics, etc. Will the memory function work the same? The seats came out of a 2011 turbo.

Going to the dealer next week for my next service and could simply pay for the install but I know I'll be more gentle than a tech.

Any insight appreciated.

Thanks!

I moved mine all the way forward and removed the rear screws. Then, move the seat all the way back and remove the front screws. Repeat on the other side and then go and disconnect the battery before disconnecting the electrical on the seats.
Buy new screws as they are not reusable (as per Porsche).

Disconnect the battery. Re dealer install, not a bad idea with safety items like seat belts and seats to have the dealer do it for peace of mind.

Thanks guys, decided to drop the seats off at the dealer for install next week. In the event I need a different connection, power issue, code reset, etc.

Got 19k on the click now so I suppose I'll do what's recommended @ a major service interval - plugs, belt, fuel filter, oil and check up.

Was thrilled to discover EasyCare is covering the TPMS replacement. Purchased the warranty 3 years ago for peace of mind, nice to get something in return.

Good idea to take it to the dealer. Codes will likely need to be changed.
I believe the mounting bolts are triple square, not hex, so you wouldn't want to strip those bolts trying to take them out either.

Wanted to follow up to my original post. Over the years I have learned a lot from 6speed and figure I can pass on some information too.

<O</OAs you read, I decided to have the dealer install my "new to me" adaptive sport seats. I bought these from a member here who removed them from a 2011 turbo with less than 1k miles. He upgraded to the carbon GT2 seats.<O</O
<O</O

The seats do plug right in as I read here but the vehicle does require programming to get everything to work. The dealer stated they had done plenty of seat changes but hadn't tackled this exact swap. Took some time, little trial and error, but they were able to ensure that the memory, heat and ALL switches worked as if the vehicle came from the factory with these installed. <O</O
<O</O

I want to send a special thanks to Porsche of North Houston for taking great car of my ride and making sure everything was done right. <O</O
<O</O

btw...I'll be posting my original seats for sale as soon as I'm able to get them home. They are the standard power, black w/grey stitching, memory and Porsche crest in headrest. They are in very good condition with only 19k on the clock. <O</O
