Do GT2 skirts affect aerodynamics?
Do GT2 skirts affect aerodynamics?
Will the addition of OEM GT2 lower trim sills (skirts) negatively affect the aerodynamics of my 997.2 Turbo S Cab? I think that the subtle flair that the skirts add would be a nice cosmetic touch. At the same time, I do not want to risk upsetting the factories aerodynamic balance. For example, if you add the GT2 front lip, you create additional forward downforce, and probably need to create additional rear downforce as a balancing offset. So, are the skirts primarily cosmetic, or do they negatively impact aerodynamics when installed on a stand alone basis (no additional GT2 parts), and open up a can of worms? Thanks in advance...you guys are great!

I don't believe adding the GT2 side skirts only will have any performance impact.
I added the front OE Aerokit front lip with GT2 sides and new rear valance. Ordered all lower parts primered from SunCoast. Wasn't cheap but makes a big visual difference. I added clear bra protection to all the parts too.
Are your current lowers already painted? If so, just adding the sides would work.
