freshly waxed with white carnauba

All of the recent cleaning & waxing threads got me motivated. Just finished applying two coats of Zymol Vintage glaze.

Not the best lighting in my garage, but in person the paint feels like a million bucks. The back of your hands glide across the paint with absolutely zero resistance or friction. 61% White Carnauba.

Make sure you allow 24 hours between coats as to not waste the wax (1st coat needs to cure completely)...looks great!!!!

Take a look at this to use after your weekly was: migliorewax.com/CimaSealant.html

What do you guys prefer between Sealant or Wax?

I normally do Polish > Blackfire Diamond Paint Sealant.

Thank you! Great reminder on the 24 hr curing time. I waited 8 hours before 'final buffing' the first layer (was getting late at night), and applying the second. Patience is tough

I've never used a sealant...the product looks nice. Novice question but have to ask: what does sealant do? I assume it's safe to put on after I give the first post-waxing wash a few weeks from now? (thanks)

When I originally purchased the Vintage glaze, I first used a clay bar, then followed it with another zymol product (that they strictly advise is done pre-waxing) which pulls off any remaining old wax from the paint. It's a product that looks and smells exactly like chocolate milk. Only after the clay then the special wax removal product, was the paint ready for me to use this white carnauba for the first time.

But this time when waxing I didn't repeat those first two steps because they were done the first time. This was just putting more wax down on the car. But even at that, giving it an extremely thorough wash and masking off all plastic and rubber, then finally waxing two layers was about 14 hours of manual work. It takes a holiday weekend to get it done, haha.

Mario, does sealant provide UV protection? I admittedly need to learn a lot more about sealants. Maybe combo of both is best?

As far as I know (I think) sealant provides a little less shine, but longer protection to everything.

Correct me if I'm wrong though...

HD-Cleanse is made specifically to help the wax bond to the paint.

I'm a big fan of Blackfire Wet Diamond as well as Chemical Guys Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish as sealants Both need to stay on the paint awhile to bond before removal). The question is do you really need to top either of them. The answer is no as they are made to stand on there own as a LSP. I have stepped away from 100% carnauba products into blended products and the one I am using now is Todd Cooperiders Signature Series Wax.
