Reasonable cost for installing sways and springs?
From what I know - and based on the feedback I am getting here it is starting to look like I am getting shafted - the shop's rate is $140/hour and the job was quoted at 10 hours. However, they have this rule that you pay an additional 10-20% upcharge if you bring your own parts (which I have to do, since they don't really offer GMG parts). The mechanic also insists on having the alignment done, but since they don't align on-site, he would have to take it to another local shop himself; that's $240 for the alignment.
The guy told me he's pretty busy this time of year, so it's starting to look like the quote was meant to send me away...
Thanks for the info guys.

Sonic is good, that's where I got all my mods installed and they did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. They did my springs, exhaust and wheels. Darwin is top notch

I actually had called them and asked if they would install my Europipe earlier this year since they use to carry the exhaust. They declined saying that since Stef sells directly they don't want the liability since they don't carry the exhaust anymore. And I did call them again about installing my GMG springs and IIRC the price was quite a bit more than what I ended up spending at sonic.
I any case not knocking sharkwerks, they were very thoughtful when I spoke to them on the phone and really know their stuff. Just detailing my experience as it relates to the posts here

That's actually the case, they do not install GMG suspension parts since they do not carry them.
