Kline Exhaust
#138
I just installed a Kline system last week. I came from a GMG which I found a little too loud. The drone at 2200-2600 rpms also really bothered me with the GMG.
I have been extremely pleased with the Kline so far. It's the perfect balance between stock and the GMG. You can definitely tell it's aftermarket and it sounds more 'refined' compared to the loudness of the GMG. I noticed absolutely no drone with the Kline and I have become sensitive to it after the GMG.
The biggest, pleasant surprise for me is actually my power gains with the Kline. The car just plain feels more responsive. The turbo's appear to spool faster and the boost appears to kick in sooner. I wasn't expecting this change at all, but now after having driven the car 4-5 times with the Kline it is absolutely real and noticeable to me. Maybe I wasn't seeing any gains with the GMG, I don't really know but I noticed this change immediately and I have been aware of it every time I drive the car.
So the investment of switching exhausts was certainly worth it for me. The GMG is still a good exhaust if that's what you're after. But if Cargraphic loud and GMG are a little too loud I would certainly take a look at the Kline. I was really worried it would be too quiet and too close to stock - but that's not the case. Excellent customer service through Sam and Felix also.
Just my 2 cents,

If you don't mind, how much was the system with the cats, and how many hours to install?

Labor hours to install varies greatly. I paid three hours worth of labor for the install which is reasonable.

FINALLY! OMG, it was much more complicated than I thought to upload from a GoPro to YouTube. Not the best video, but audio quality from a GoPro is reasonable. Gives you a bit of a taste of the 997.1 turbo exhaust with 200 cell cats. This is only part of the story, because WOT from this exhaust is really perfect.

I think many become very tempted by these idling videos that have exhausts with loud cold starts and rumbling idles. People quickly find that those characteristics translate into drone in many cases!
One thing about video is that it doesn't lie. The exhaust is refined at idle. Not unlike a Europipe, but with a quieter cold start. I think dm620s complaint is that the Kline sounds awesome under load and wot and this is not at all evident in the video.

I did, exactly like you but was not happy with what I got so I never posted it. I really need somebody filming for me while I do a drive by. I feel like that's the only way you get a true representation. Useless was a little extreme but it seems like you got what I was saying.
