GT3 stuff on 997TT

I have been thinking about putting some GT3 "stuff" onto my somewhat modded 997 TT (GT3076..Built bottom end - rods / pistons / 3.8L/head studs /82mm TB / IPD 3" Y and intake pipes ) .. and I was thinking about going bigger. but the lag scares me sooo I was told that the GT3 intake (with some mods) may/should help....

1. GT3 Intake on 997TT - anyone done it ? (* how easy or difficult is it to mate it to the 997 TT) . Guessing the 997 heads "should" be port matched...

2. Can GT3 heads be put on the 997TT Case ? I think they will should bolt up but not sure. While this may make the GT3 intake installation easier .. not sure if that is possible ..? Worry about blueprinting the engine ? as the cranks are diff from 997TT to GT3 ?

The internal of the GT3 heads - are the cams better ? for a turbo car ? springs and retainers etc better for higher revs ..Can we reve a boosted car to say 8K ? Valves bigger to breathe better (from a NA motor) ?

DOable or too much a fantasy ? I know 1 has been done but not sure if 2 can be done...

THX...thoughts ?

No real world experience here but I think you would be better off just regrinding your cams and porting your heads. Increase valve spring for higher RPM and boost. Because of different duration, lift (small vs large), different variocam plus, etc...I think that would be total confusion to the turbo ECU.

I have an opportunity to grab some GT3 heads and intake.. I am wondering if that will be a reasonable endeavor OR the beginning of a night mare ? i think the Intake stuff is fine... just wondering on the heads..

IE- I have an Audi 2.7 TT - the best upgrade for flow is 2.8L (N/A) heads. The 2.8L N/A heads - have Much bigger ports (match it to the RS4 Intake) and the 2.8l N/A have cams the 2.7L love too...

I know supras do this as well.. Turbo supras w NA heads ...

Thoughts ?

It is a turbo engine. I think that the owner already posted the details in this forum.

I have the 3076s / Proto 5" and Proto tune .. very happy. now trying to redefine it ... got the 3586s / 1100 CCs / thinking of a simple fuel pump upgrade.. and to make up for the possible added lag.. get some GT3 parts in there... eliminate (lessen) lag and rev out a bit longer ..
