Hello all,

I am in the midst of doing a 997.1 to 997.2 rear end conversion. I bought the tails and am currently searching for the rear bumper. I found a few deals for the rear bumper but am curious about one thing. Our bumpers have two bumper guard covers on them (aka bumperettes). Are these covers interchangeable between the 997.1 and 997.2 rear bumpers? Also, are there any other pieces I need to buy to make the bumper cover fit properly on my 997.1?


PS- I have a narrow body, but im asking in the turbo area because it seems like more of you guys have done the facelifts. Thanks!

 

For the Turbo's, you will need the new 997.2 bumper carrier. Your old one wouldn't fit as the holes are in a different position. Exhaust surrounds are required. Not sure of the bumperettes.

Appears the actual bumperettes are the same. The bumper cover part number is totally different, but the bumperettes (actually called lining covers) have the same part number for 997T and 997T2. Part numbers L & R = 997 505 625 03 G2X & 997 505 626 03 G2X.

You have to add part n°: 997 505 641 03 (attachment strip center) and remove yours.
