Only reason I would get the 997.1 is for the Metzger engine.

But for me, I would do the 997.2 also for the PDK.

If you want to mod get a 997.1. The engine is stronger, fuel system is better, and the PDK can only hold so much power in the .2's. I guess the question you have to ask yourself is,"will I be happy with a max 135mph trap speed if I get the 997.2?"

^^this. If you really want to mod go with the 997.1. I have the tip version and am extremely happy with it. The tip can take more hp without modding than a 6 spd and is also faster. Oh yeah, and it's about a $40-$50k price delta. My tip with nothing but a GIAC tune is already faster than a 997.2 PDK.

I posted a thread today with the results from my 997.1 with E85 and Protomotive tuning. Here's the link.

I just had a Kenwood DNN990HD installed and it is really good. It even uses online apps via wifi through your cellphone hotspot, read your emails, sms messages, etc. The user interface is light years ahead of the standard PCM. A lot of people don't feel comfortable playing with the original look of the dash but a good shop can make it look really nice.

looks like I found a buyer, PPI is done. Hoping his financing goes through. If not I keep the gtr and enjoy it further. If not the hunt is on.

I think i've decided on 997.1tt coupe. 6 speed. red. black. white. grey.

Sports seats, and heated seats is all I want. The LSD would be a nice bonus but I don't think I'll mod this one to the extent of the GTR.

Besides ebay and cars.com, where else should I look?

I found mine through the Porsche website. They have most of the cars at dealers listed, even if they no longer qualify for CPO.

Can you be more specific and type out this porsche website you mentioned above that lists cars at dealers? Or are you saying you are just referring to a specific dealership?

you can go to porsche.com and click on the pre owned section and find what dealers have the car you want!

If you are serious about making power a catless exhaust is the way to go. I have a Europipe on my car for now, but if it starts holding things back I will go to an X-pipe exhaust.
