997.2tt or 9914S

Have been a consistent Turbo owner for many years over several models. Made a job change last year moving to a beautiful part of eastern Pa. Went for taking the train every day into Manhattan to driving all curvy back roads into work.
Made a decision that I needed an every day car (and at the time the wife didn't want a garage full of cars) so I was convinced by my dealer and friend to go with a Panamera 4. Have to say I really like the car and the convenience but over the last year I have been lusting for the power and feel of the 911.
So I have asked my dealer to hunt down a 2011 or 2012 997.2 TT. At the same time he is telling me I really need to drive the new 991 4S as it will do everything I need it to do and the new car is amazing. I am familiar with the 997 TT having had 2 but have not driven the new 991 4S. I'm sure I will like it but will I be wishing for more of a kick in the pants. I don't track anymore and I'm sixty but not dead. What do you guys think? I'm going to try to get into a 4S before the snow flys but was looking for input.
Thanks in advance.

Try to test drive the 4S on some windy roads. It's plenty fast and the throttle response will be much better than what you get in a Turbo. Plus the 991 is just so sexy looking. Way better than the 997 IMHO and I just bought one.

Sure the 991 will look sweet, but will it kick you in the *** like a 997tt? Not a chance. 0-60 in 3 seconds flat? Nowhere close. Put your foot to the floor in the 991 and wait for something to happen. Nothing does. Not so with the tt. The tt is just a great DD. Interested to hear your impressions about driving the 991. The dealer has only their self interest - it is easy for them to order a new car, it is difficult to find a sweet used tt.

I just drove a 991 C4S like a month ago.

Nice smooth car with all the latest gadgetry, but won't deliver anything close to the driving experience of the TT when you mash the gas. Effortless passing power in any gear.
