Hi Folks,

Any thoughts on getting a 07-08 911 Turbo vs. a '09 C4S? I'd like to think this will be a weekend only car however I'm sure I'll end up wanting to drive it as a daily driver as much as possible! The power of the turbo is attractive, plus I assume the turbo will hold its value a bit more... However everyone I've spoken with both dealers and PCA folks all say go with the newer car with newer technology... Thoughts? Daily driver? Maintenance on 997TT vs. 997.2?


As far as finding one I'm betting that soon as there is snow on the ground in the northeast the prices will fall and I'll find a motivated seller! OR perhaps find a wholesaler willing to pick me up either car at Manheim PA during a Thursday highline auction... '09 C4S w/ 25k seem to be around 50-53k at auction is my bet... Anyone have access to Manheim prices on 07-08 turbos or '09 C4S's?

I have bought at Manheim previously through a wholesaler however he's out of the biz now...

Any data would be appreciated!

 

Try to drive both. There arent very big differences in technology that cant be overcome for a couple hundred bucks but the performance difference is night and day.

 

Both awesome cars but the torque of the Turbo got me hooked and sold my C2S to buy a Turbo.

 

I would inspect auction cars very carefully if you are considering purchasing them.
