997tt vs 996tt?
997tt vs 996tt?
I've been scoping out various 911s off/on, am seriously considering the 996tt. Yesterday I checked out a 2014 Panamera Turbo PDK for kicks, thinking that the Panny could be "a 911 but with more rear/seats/luggage space" but I was thoroughly unimpressed with its driving dynamics. Just felt too big, didn't like the EPS steering, and for some reason I didn't really feel the power.
So now I'm back to the 911, and am thinking about the 997 along with the 996.
What are the main differences between the 997tt and 996tt? I'm aware of the front headlight and interior differences, but otherwise, how are the driving dynamics? Any known reliability issues in the 997tt (and 997 C4/S)?
Thanks.

Having had both a 996TT and now a 997TT they're both great cars. The biggest difference I would say is the 997TT is more refined. It's like they took everything from the 996TT and improved upon it. I had significant mods on my 996TT and about to do some mods to my 997TT. The one thing is you don't have to do as much to get power gains on a 997TT as you do on a 996TT.
