TPMS acting VERY weird
TPMS acting VERY weird
So a couple of weeks ago, I noticed my sensors were taking too long to load. They would usually load within 30 seconds of me starting the car. Sometimes a bit longer if it is kind of cold.
They got progressively worse and eventually, none of them would load. I tried resetting it and allowing it to re-learn but to no avail. I am not getting any readings.
Has anyone encountered this before?
Thanks!

Sounds like the tpms sensors are dying as skandalis447 mentioned. How old are they? If they are still the originals you probably due for some new ones. We have them, for more information Click Here.
The TPMS maintenance tool (it looks like a geiger counter) can read the battery levels.
Unrelated, but I was having the same issue on my 08 Z06 and the reset procedure required the use of the remote fob (had to hold a button for 5 seconds and blah blah). I could not reset the TPMS sensors and it turned out that the fob battery was low! Once I changed the fob battery the resetting went smooth.
Have your TPMS batteries checked before going about spending loads of money. If they are bad, consider getting a set from Tire Rack. They make their own, are much cheaper than Porsche ones and they come with a pretty good warranty. I have been using theirs on my turbo and so far (2 years) not a single issue.
