A single drop of coolant.....997.1TT

I thought i would share my holiday experience with the forum. It starts with a light on my dashboard telling me its time for an annual checkup and oil change.

Every month or so I would notice a single drop of coolant on my garage floor behind the right rear wheel. Unable to locate the leak or even sign that the coolant was actually coming from the car I thought it would be prudent to mention my dilemma to the dealer...

After about 4 hours the dealer called with "the news", My coolant supply tube 997 106 610 31 had been rubbing against a piece of shielding and wore a microscopic hole in the mounting flange (see pic). Unfortunately my decision to make an appointment for the day after Christmas was my real mistake . Due the holidays they would not be able to get the part until Jan 2nd.

As the work proceeded i as for picture to show me the progress and thought it would be nice to share here.

So 2 weeks, 17 photos and $3030 later my car is home and all is well.

Thank you to everyone at Orlando Porsche for their patience from my frequent calls checking on my toy!

Yes the aftermarket covered all but $800 of that bill.
