12 Turbo vs Turbo S
I'm sure that is a great car. Always a bit of a premium for nearly new mileage.
Once the tts came out, they made way more tts than regular turbos. With the 991, they also will make more tts than regular turbos.
These cars hold their value very well, but no way a $110k car is worth only 25k less after 5 years. More like $40-50k less.

2013 tts
There are two on the market that I know of- 170ish msrp with less than 5k miles and asking 149k at p dealerships.
I think the prices are crazy- 20k less than new- that was the dealer markup and how about depreciation- I do not think the last year of 997TT any one was paying sticker when people knew the new car was coming out.
I think all the money is 20% off or 135. Just my opinion.

Go with the S! I love mine. In my general area I found exactly what I wanted (except seats) and only paid approx $15k more for all options I wanted--and the 30hp, over what I found the 2010-2012 non S cars were listed. Good luck.
The .2 manuals IMO won't be very much in demand in the future. *Generally* the guys who want a manual also want to do some mods, and that means mezger engine and .1 manual dominates. Or I'm biased b/c I have a .1 manual :-)
Frustrated shopping for these cars for sure- is it a mistake to buy a non S car- some very clean examples out there MSRP around 155 vs almost 170 for S cars. Is the 30hp worth so much more- Are people avoiding the new TT in favor of the S also with a large price difference.
Ballpark a low mileage 12 TT car value- 115?
Thanks

The TTs are not easy to find and the best I saw was $126K about 3 months ago with 4000 miles. It was Boring Silver and Black, PDK regular ventilated seats @ it had the old made new Fuchs Wheels.
Drove incredibly well I did notice the difference between the non S.
The colors just didn't say by me.

I think the non S sellers think the
buyers out there are fools also the S sellers-----125k for a used car for sure is a lot of money......
I saw an example two days ago with a 12 manual non s very low miles at 148 MSRP and the guys is asking 128 but will take 120- I guess these cars don't depreciate- 20% off msrp in two years???????????? Dealer profit was 10% new.
I want one of these cars but can not justify the prices- they are not Ferraris.

There was a 2012 turbo S offered up for sale on 6speed a few days ago, sticker was 182, with 7,000 miles or around there iirc, and the owner was going to let it go for 118k as long as it was a no hassle transaction, nobody took him up on it so instead he called the dealership and they gave him 120 so he did that
That was a cab and quite frankly lots of frivolous options are a very personal thing and as a result usually bring back about $1/$5- a gift to the new owner.
In my opinion 120 wholesale of course vs. buying a new car at retail is what the private market price should be- also remember 11s have very little warranty left.

But if you buy a CPO you have a full factory warranty until around 2017 or 100k miles.
