DME report

Spoke to a couple of dealers offering CPO TT cars, and I asked about the DME printout. Both said they did not do DME printouts when they certified the cars because you can't over-rev a PDK car and it was not required for CPO. Does that sound right to you guys?
thx

Nope they are full of ****. You can still very easily hit the rev limiter which will register as Range 1-3 over revs. I would have to defer to someone more knowledgable able range 4-6 in a PBK car.

Even if "they" don't care, you should as the new owner just for knowledge about how the car was used.

Not sure how that is possible with a PDK car. You can't miss a downshift with PDK. You might get a mild overrev but highly unlikely going up in the gears.

I add here because I was just at a dealer and they told me they will not CPO a car with ANY range 4 overrevs. I was a bit surprised. I was trading my car and it had like 1 and I bought the car because that clearly wasn't going to have any effect. However, they said they wouldnt be able to CPO it. I didn't really care, but I was surprised. He said it was a "new" policy. Somehow I really doubt that was the case, but relaying the info nonetheless.
