That's Jersey for you. Husband has been tagged while in traffic by a plain white van, Ram pick up truck, Tahoe, off duty cop....

I think all this stuff is illegal in VA from what I recall. I have the radar from the Escort Passport 9500Ci, but I recently upgraded my laser to Anitlaser (AL) Priority with 2 jammers in the front and one in the rear (some guys suggest 2 in the rear). The radar is invisible to police and the control and display are tiny, but the laser jammers are noticeable. The good thing about AL is with one click of a button you can change the jammers over to parking sensors. Therefore, you could fight any ticket in this way if the police suggest you have jammers.

Its illegal if they see it LOL. The VA police would pull over an ambulance with their Dying mother in it and stand there and write a ticket... they build hiding places for them on the new highways... Those huge sound barriers they will break up so they can have a paved place for the losers to hide. VA police depts are HEAVILY subsidized byt GEICO whom buys them most of their speed gear.
Whats funny is its all about nailing people with a clearance because its crime for over 10 mph. So they think they have to report it so they pay the fine or go to the traffic school to get it of their records ( FYI eat it and tell the SSO what happened and most will be fine with it) Basically VA uses Scare tactics to increase income. I will never shed a tear over anything that happens to a VA LEO.
Speeding tickets are revenue generating period dot. They have ZERO to do with safety or they wouldnt let you "buy" your way out of it. if it was about safety speeding would be like a DUI.

Have you tried Escort live? My understanding is they are using WAZE as well and if 2-3 people drive around they can get the alerts needed. Obviously the moving LEOs arent going to be on it but what are your thoughts.

I have not tried live. I do use WAZE, but honestly this ticket was caused by me not using my eyes and looking at the stupid WAZE alert. I think from now on I'm going to use my eyes and then allow my electronics to assist. I need to maybe adjust my WAZE to only let me know about cops and not if there is a car in the shoulder (not a cop).
