With these engines they should go to 200k miles....

have an old 99 Bmw 540i that has 126k miles and I have thrashed the living hell out of the poor thing all over USA... had an old Subaru on a farm downunder that had 495,000 kms on the same engine... poor thing was driven almost 800 km a day....

Some of these things are tough and the Porsche 6 cyl is one of the greatest engines ever made

Car seems perfect , all maint. Records .
Anything to be concerned about ?
What is a good price for an 09 with such miles ?
Cars are bought to be driven, I have had far more issues over the years with dozens of cars that had low mileage..... my old man used to say a car doesnt get broken in until it has 30000 km (say 18k miles) on it

I would pay up to $70,000 for a 2009, 997.1 6MT with those miles as long as you test all the relevant tech stuff... I tend to either get rid of cars right away or keep them forever, so if you are in the latter camp go for it

How did you find the boost problems? Did you end up doing a boost leak test? I got the softronic tune and it feels sluggish under heavy acceleration. I thought it was the plugs but after changing them it still feels the same. Not sure if it could be the coils, boost leak or something wrong with the tune.

we put the car on the lift and immediately saw that a gasket was pushed out.
Check your rod actuators on the turbos.
do a boost leak test. its pretty simple to do. just remove the airbox and plug directly into the plenum to test for leaks.

Do you have the 2nd gear pop out issue? I do have occasionally. I still have CPO but if that mod will take care of this, I would do it myself. Looks very simple.

Hi, I'm interested to learn more about this mod, my 2nd gear is beginning to be a bit harsh and its shifting less accurate.
Thxs,
P.
