I think to be fair Champion do have a fast car but no other company have been tested from what I can see in the same way so for me it would hard to just come out and say they have the fastest cars without seeing what the other tuners are achieving in terms of drag times and 60 to 130 etc etc...

There is nothing to really compare at the moment but if you did decide to go with Champion then Its one of the better choices when it comes to the American tuners IMO.

But saying all this Akunob has a great tune from FVD from what he has posted so far and I am sure Emre@ES motors also have some good files too so you are spoilt for choice ATM.

My vote is for Champion/GIAC, but of course that is what I'm running. Looking to do a track rental next Tuesday so I could get some additional numbers to post. Still not terribly hot and/or humid in Jersey.

I am sure there are some tuners who are happy pimping inflated dyno numbers and trying to spear a few unlucky customers that don't know about differences between dynos, but that isn't what we're about.

In addition to making solid numbers, our software has been tested to death on the road with our dealers in Europe from 0-200+ mph (back to back stress testing). We're confident that not only are we more powerful, but more reliable at those power levels as well. We have files that are even more powerful than our 9 second files, but they do not meet our standards for reliability and therefore aren't for public consumption.

Another vote for GIAC/Champion. Just watching Longboarder consistently beat cars with much higher "claimed" power is a testament to the true performance of these packages.

The 997.2TT and the 3.8L DFI platform have been out for almost 4 years. Other tuners have had plenty of time. Many have began development and then given up and sold their cars when they realize just how hard it is to work with this ECU/engine combination. We (Champion and GIAC) worked together for countless days and months to develop the package we have now....a package that consistently makes more power then any other DFI car, runs consistent low 10 second and high 9 second 1/4 mile passes, beats cars with 200 more whp at rolling race events, and has the fastest 0-60 and 60-130 times of any .2 Turbo...yet the only credit you'll give us that is "there's nothing to compare to" and we're "one of the better choices" ???

How much longer do we have to wait to have something to compare to?

Streetgear is infamous around these parts
Ecpchris just did a 60-130 run with a extra passenger at 6.8 seconds on a Champion/Giac tune. That was impressive so there is a recorded time to beat.

Champion & GIAC you have your numbers, cool... Soon we will have ours (COBB the new kid on the block) so after I install my IC's we will see if you guys have "competition"

Let the games begin!!!

To the OP my post is not to convince you to buy COBB, I just recommend what I know... My post to Giac and champion its just a little of "spice" on the subject... Something that I like when I mod my cars, "motivation"

So far their claim to the fastest DFI is checking out. I just checked the 60-130 times on this forum and so far nobody with a DFI 997.2 seems quicker. The closest I could find was:

7.09 - EmreESmotor (customer) / 997.2 TurboS PDK / AWD
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996-turbo-gt2/259006-6speedonlines-official-1-4-mile-60-130-100-150-standing-mile-thread.html

Champion/Giac and Epchris please submit your run and if the slope angle is confirmed to be less than 3% it's a heck of a run

BTW webcarconnection you have been making all of use drool for your 60-130 run. Why are you waiting so long to post your 60-130 time. It only take 10 seconds or less to do a run on any lonely road. Please post your results soon .

Tom get off your high horse. No need to get all *****y.

It is simple. Whether another company has proved their 997.2 tuning is better than yours or not what can we compare your tuning too that was all I was saying???

No one has made an effort to start testing their software program's like some of your customers.

Does this mean we just assume you are the fastest out their period???

I know how hard the DFI is to tune. What happend to the fuel system you were working on any more info on that?

And yes you are one of the American tuners I would recommend from what I have read over the past 4 years but not from a personal experience as I haven't used your tuning files.

Anyway keep up the good work Tom and lets not go on and on.

Longboarder also hit a 6.579 with -1.21 slope on pump gas (91 octane tune). https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...0-6-579-a.html On race mode, he beat the big turbo BMS 1 series that ran verified 60-130 times in the 5s.
