isysman: those wheels are the GT3 RS´s, how is the side fender fitment in front and rear? do you have more pictures? i want to do the same but were afraid of how flush they look in the fenders.....

thanks, and your car looks great....

The wheels on the GT3RS and GT2RS are the same. The GT3 (not RS) has same except the front are 8 1/2". On the RS the fronts are 9 inch.

Wheels are pretty flush at the rear. Fronts stick out a little as I don't have the winglets to cover them.

There is no clearance issue on the rear at all. Same body on both cars. Only the fronts, however I've had my wheels on for nearly a year with no issues. I'm going to fit the GT2RS fenders with extenders just to make it look right. You could easily get away without (unless your car is really low). Mine has been lowered but only by 0.75 inch.

Here is a photo looking directly down from over the front fenders. You can see the tyre sticking out.

In the US the 997.1 GT2, GT3 and GT3RS all use the same wheel, only difference being the the GT3 uses a 68mm et on the rear since it is a narrow body. Here are the wheel sizes:

GT3 F 8.5x19 et 53
R 12.0x19 et 68

GT3RS and
GT2 F 8.5x19 et 53
R 12.0x19 et 51

997.2 may be different than these.

Exclamation

The gen.2 GT3RS has the same wheels as the GT2RS. The wheels on my car came from a GT2RS. They are 12x19 rear and 9x19 front. I think the last set of measurements you listed are my wheels.

In my previous post I was referring to the gen.2 GT3

Yeah those wheels are similar in design. They don't have the deep dish of the centre locks though so you'd struggle to fill the arches, you do have the turbo right?

Yes, they aren't quite as cool as yours for sure. But maybe the closest oem 5 lug set. I have a 997 Turbo.

These are 20's though. I'm guessing that may cause some problems.

Ahh yes 20s I forgot. I wouldn't fit that size to a 997. I know of people who have and it was a bone shaker.

I love the look of the wheels, but I would give my left arm NOT to have centerlocks. To each his own I suppose.

Gorgeous wheels. These are probably the only wheels I would switch out my stock 19" CL for (in brushed titanium finish of course)...dumb question, can these simply be ordered at a Porsche dealership or do you have to find a set off a .2 RS?

They have a part number so they can be ordered...bet very pricey though. Call or email Suncoast - they'll respond.

I forgot to mention this before. When I was searching for a five lug version of the GT2RS wheel I stumbled across this article.

Agency Power released a 'GT2RS inspired' wheel on a five lug. However when I contacted them they said they no longer produced it. They did however have one set in silver left in their warehouse. I almost bought them but backed out at the last minute.

This was almost a year ago so I have no idea if they still have them but if you like them maybe give them a call.
