anyone else with evoms 720/750 huge lag before 3500rpm
#16
We do purposely limit boost and torque below 3400rpm for a couple different reasons (mostly reliability of the engine and turbos), which I believe is what flunati is experiencing. The logs look great and the car appears to be doing what we're asking of it based on those. We are working with flunati to verify the car is performing how it should, and figure out how to help get it off the line better.

Thanks for everyone's input and knowledge! Sam from EVOMS has been working with me with some data logging... all seems to be good over 3500 rpm... I was able to get in touch with original installer as well, will be taking car there next week. Hopefully we will be able to figure out what's going on. And thanks for the offer Kai @ elite motor sports!! I have heard alot of great things about you and your performance cars! A close friend of mine actually recommended I go and talk to you just yesterday... you did some exhaust work on his audi. I may be in touch......

So, car went to shop today. Took owner of shop for ride and he feels what I'm talking about directly off the line. He will discuss it with EVOMS and will get back to me. One thing that I never took into consideration which he brought up, were my rims. When I bought the car it came with the existing rims.... Maya MRS 20".... apparently a very heavy rim and also a 1" larger diameter... I've been doing a little research on overall effect of larger diameter rims and apparently this will cause a pretty big decrease in overall performance especially at lower accelerations. Time to look for some 19" rims... Man,,,, I love the look of my rims on my car but do not want to sacrifice power over looks!! Checking out some HRE's and OZ racing....
