I am currently in the market for either a 997.1 Turbo or GT3. Which states are usually priced lower than others? Seems like prices vary quite a bit. Is there a better time of the year for better prices? I have seen GT3 prices vary from almost $10k for the same car and mileage. Just want to find the right car at the right price and willing to travel for it. Thanks in advance.

Well in general sports cars are cheaper this time of year through winter in "snowy" states since they arent very useful right now. So if you stick to northern states or rocky mtn states you might do better.

I would also say in general CA and AZ are more expensive than other areas. Just a generalization.

Neither if these are porsche specific.

Interesting thought. Agree with the winter states. But seems there is just too much $$ chasing discretionary goods these days. Until this changes...it's not gonna be cheap.

I would say winter is a good time to buy. Its also a supply and demand thing. Here in the Seattle area there are fewer sports cars like a 997TT/GT3 so supply is down which drives prices up. Chances are you will pay a premium in the NW for these cars. I would look in CA/FL etc where there are simply more cars.
