BBI Still in business?
BBI Still in business?
Hello,
I've been trying to get a 3 Bar Map sensor for my 997.2 Turbo S, and I've had some friends try to communicate but no luck.
Anyone knows?
Thanks!

BBI/Cobb awesome 997.2 TT exhaust/software combo
They are very much alive...truly passionate folks that produce exceptional work product. I looked at and listened to as many exhausts as I could for 6 months (none of which really excited me...but I knew the factory exhaust on the 997.2 Turbo just did not do justice to the car in my view so I kept looking). Ultimately, I stumbled onto BBI through my discussions with Mitch McKee at Cobb (another absolutely passionate individual who must never sleep as he returns my inquiries in minutes no matter what time of day or night they are sent--I know many of you know this!!). Ultimately, after talking to Betim on the phone and sensing his deep commitment and love for what he does, I decided to have BBI craft an exhaust for my 997.2TT a few months back. I will admit it was a leap of faith in that they are not mass marketers, and don't have any real decent sound bites of the exhaust floating around on their site or you tube for that matter. And this type of craftsmanship is not cheap...it was an investment -- and in this instance, I got what I paid for. The detail and workmanship are beyond compare. The sound is absolutely exotic and compares to the best normally aspirated mechanical "music" out there. It is a more rich tone (like the EP but more gutsy-- like the EP version that they used to sell with no cats but won't sell in the States anymore--those of you who have researched all available sound clips for options will know what I mean). It sounds rich, and not offensive in the least but REALLY woke the car up like it should have been from the factory. I combined Betim's piece of artwork with Mitch's Cobb AP and have just fallen in love with the car really for the first time (it's a '10 but only has 7k miles as I don't get it out as much as I would like). I highly recommend this combo to anyone.

Great write up. I was much luckier in that I live close to BBI and they gave me a ride in their 997.2 shop car (Eric Dow's) and that was it.
I purchased their catted exhaust where the cats are moved to the muffler location so the cats act as the mufflers.
I tried to capture the sound on my GoPro but it couldn't do it justice at all - the sound is intoxicating and the only way to properly describe it if you have hear a 997 GT2 and GT3...because it's a combination of the two. It's more high pitched that a GT2 but not as much as a GT3. Still gives the whoosh of the turbos but in the upper RPM range it just screams. On decel there is a lot of gurgling and no annoying "dump truck" sound.
An incredible work of art in my opinion and has truly transformed my car.
