TL;DR: Bought Turbo, know I will need to mod it so I am starting now!



Pretty excited about this thing. I am coming off owning a bolt on Gallardo, and a supercharged Z06. Toyed with a new Z06, but didnt want to wait + top end of my price range + new car depreciation. I test drove a turbo locally and was very displeased with the disconnected feeling driving it. Talking to some fellow Turbo owners and reading dozens of threads it seems like a common thing when you expected it to be a GT3 but with a turbo :-D ... but can be easily fixed with mods! woohoo!

So first plans are:
Tint (windows and tail lights)
Black wheels (probably Forgeline, as I have used them on all my cars)
Paint caliper Verde Ithica (or similar)
Lowered/stiffer
Exhaust (cat back)
engine Tune
suspension tune (sounds weird saying that)

Next:
I want to go to a ball bearing turbo, and will probably fabricate headers for external WGs, custom intercoolers, etc. Ill have to research more of what is available before I spend the effort to build it all myself. Tempting to just do a big modified "stock" turbo, but not sure it will have the power I want. Will probably end up on E85 at that point

Curious, was the car inspected. Really looks like it is already lowered. Wheel was also swapped.

 

Yea, hoping it is lowered. No other PPI. Been lucky so far on purchases like this, hopefully this one doesnt burn me. Seems to be well maintained.

Squat- my past 2 cars have had black wheels and I have been happy with them...

 

Congrats, I too saw the car at Cherry Hill Classic Cars Jaguar. I steered away when I saw that it had accident history on the carfax.

 

Yea, after researching as far as I can tell it was minor.. door repaint and that was it.

My lambo was in a minor front end collosion, but was fixed right.. so it didnt bother me.

 

As long as your happy thats all that matter, hope you got a great deal, I saw they paid $59k for it @ Manheim PA.

 

Wow, if they paid $59K I got a pretty good deal.

Not happy yet, car wont be delivered till next week. So if you know something I dont, clue me in :-p

 

They had is up FS for at least 3 months so I'm sure you stole it.
