Ok what's the difference in price options color? If they are similar I'd get the CPO one just for peace of mind for a little bit

true there. just hope you dont live in Vegas. The Dealer here is a joke. The owner doesnt even let his tech work on his car.

If you go with a non warranty car, make sure you find a good local guy and if you worry about tranny its a MB box ( if its a tip) and most MB guys can fix it pretty cheap considering Porsche likes to replace it

You have to realize these are 100k less than the new turbos and while there is more performance based on the turbo, a 997.1 is still smoking just about everything else on the street and the 997.2 is smoking everything. I keep trying to like the new corvette because it would be an easy swap finance wise but I just cant. It looks more like an edgy Jag Coupe the more I look at it. A tip 997.1 is still running with the c7 Z06 straight line ( track hasnt been and realistically should lose but in different classes) and mines all mine so why change?

996 turbos the least desirable are still 35-50k. So I think once the masses realize that to get into a 991 its gonna cost them 150k even i n2-3 years they prices of the 997s will rise. Also the 997.1 will be very desirable with the Mezger engine. This is a controversial comment but with the ability to drive a stick going the way of the dodo, and the numbers I think the Tip 997.1s will be the more desirable car from a DD point where the 6sp might be from a collector point.
This is spot on, well said Squat.

I do not think you should be scared away by mileage as long as you have documented service history and have checked the car out. I believe that you will be fine as the car was driven and likely any issues have been addressed. Cosmetically you may have to repaint the front bumper etc., but mechanically i would feel OK.

For the enthusiast who likes to row their own gears, the 997.1 TT will be the penultimate 911 in my opinion.

I like the new 991 Turbo - however i (and many others) prefer the manual transmission. Also, with the price of the new ones, i realized i would never be in the market for the 991. I expect that many others have realized the same thing.

If you are looking for overall value - the 996 Turbo is the ultimate due to the less desirable exterior. But if you are looking for the ultimate package in a 911 turbo, i believe the 997 fits nicely - prices are reasonable, has all the trademark Porsche items (circle headlights, metzger engine, 6 speed, etc.) and goes like hell!

Looks like I will be pulling the trigger this weekend. Any final thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The only issue I'm having a problem with is the millage almost 60K. But as I stated it is a CPO car with ALL service records.

The hell with the milage...its not a garage queen and its a fantastic car at a fantastic price. Worst case is it goes down a bit more but who cares. Enjoy and be glad you did not but new.

Not sure I've ever seen a 911 with every option (must have been over $200k). Get it!

I HIGHY suggest looking at this car too. I would look at, drive and get both inspected.

If you're looking at cost of ownership between the two cars, you're out of CPO in the high mileage car in a year and an aftermarket warranty is going to be around $6k.

If the lower mileage car looks good, and you keep it under 9K mileage before getting an aftermarket warranty, you will probably pay half of that to get an aftermarket 6 yr. warranty because of the lower mileage.

There is an extensive thread on this on another forum.

Just something to consider if warranty a concern for you.

White Rock OK slight exaggeration MOST options Navi XM parrot Bluetooth (aftermarket I know) with 2 sets of tires winter and summer plus more. The only option I can tell that it does not have is parking assist which I would like to get installed. Have it on all my vehicles.

Nevermiss thanks for the input...yeah I read the threads about warranty's a while back. I hear what you are saying...looked extensively into Fidelity warranty and there are allot of things it does not cover, you are basically buying the warrant in case you grenade your motor and I get that. Ill probably only put about 5 or 6K a year on this car so I’ll chance it. I do appreciate everybody's input though thanks. Keep it coming I'll keep you guys posted.

I would get it, the mileage isn't that bad especially considering the CPO.
