Europipe or BBI.

If you want cats get the Europipe with the 100 cell cats. Otherwise if you want catless get the BBI. Unfortunately Europipe will not produce catless exhausts anymore.

The Europipe sound is very well suited to the car. It's not wild and over the top. Just right in my opinion. You can have a conversation in the car without having the exhaust get in the way while cruising around. Sounds great and will turn heads when you want it to. Tastes differ, but I don't want an exhaust to turn heads just because I drive by.

What is the consensus with header on a Turbo? AMS's Alpha kit's don't come with headers and they generally only recommend an exhaust system. Does new headers on a 997 Turbo help that much?

Gotta be careful with manifolds only because if the correct materials and testing isn't done, running a glowing hot manifold into a puddle of water can cause cracks and separation at the welds (this happens very often with our cars since the headers sit so low at the bottom). I honestly don't see any real use for upgraded manifolds unless you're building out the entire rig and trying to squeeze every ounce out of the motor. If you're not running upgrading turbos with a fully built motor, you're not really going to see much gain from headers. The good ones are also not cheap - my .02 you can use $3,000+ elsewhere and see real gains.

Ya I agree. I first thought about that when I saw AMS's Alpha 10 didn't even come with nor did they recommend new headers. And we are talking 1000 HP here. And I know AMS does pretty extensive design and analysis.

Speedtech

Speedtech exhaust is great. noticeable hp gains (probably minor) and the sound is OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you message me I can take video clips and send them to you if you want, if you're around the philly area you're more than welcome to come by and check mine out. It's the first exhaust I've put on a car so take that for what it's worth, but I can't drive by someone without them turning their heads and noticing the upgrade. Not obnoxious...very exotic sounding. and won't break your bank account either.

Same here, first exhaust. No way I will spend an extra 2k for pipes with nice brand name plates welded and same HJS cats. Great sound, no tractor sound. Out of turbos into cats out to 3" pipes? What is so complicated? Flows out into atmosphere, great sound. Put your money on the table and drive it off the lot. Put the rest in the bank!

I am currently putting together a small video of different audio clips as well to post in the exhaust thread......this is how impressed I am about the sound of this exhaust system!! Again recordings still can't get the full spectrum of this set up, but still sounds amazing!

Thanks
