Honestly the 360 just doesn't do it for me. 355 was gorgeous, 430 I absolutely love it. 458....not sure exactly but it's badass looking right now. 360 is a bit... meh.
I'm not sure how big a factor is, but expect to spend at least 3 times more in upkeep for the ferrari. I'm sure it's a great car, but it's just going to be a lot less convienent than a 911. You will get tons of attention, which is a plus for some and a negative for others.
Not to get offtopic, but I'm pretty shocked to see that 430 > 360 isn't pretty much unanimous, especially with 911 turbo owners. 360 looks too feminine and the 430 brought some muscle back to the aesthetics imho.

I still like the 360s over the 430s. Yes, your car is faster, more reliable, will last longer, and cheaper to maintain. But it is a Ferrari. Not many have the chance. If you can, go for it. Just do us all a favor and make sure you straight pipe it. A 360 with straight pipes is one of the best sounds there is.

I never understood this sentiment. "It's a Ferrari!" - I'm trying to understand exactly what that even implies. One truly must be pretty insecure that they constantly must remind themselves that "it is a Ferrari" in order to compensate its downfalls. This somehow supersedes all the negative factors and although the proof is in the pudding, most will completely ignore reality and still purchase the car. It almost sounds childish ... like you're trying to secretly overcome a serious flaw in your life that "driving a Ferrari" miraculously cures. It's really not anything knew. It's the psychology behind branding that by portraying a certain image, you then are capable of offering an inferior product and still maintain and even grow revenue. Winning the hearts of many who feel the need to be loud and noticed.
Now, if your argument had been: I love the look of the car, the sound, the seats, the design, etc. Then I could understand this and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Also, Ferrari has a pretty impressive pedigree and quite honestly their most recent cars are pretty amazing (458, especiale, and most recently the 488). But most won't actually understand the car and just buy it because "it is a Ferrari" .
The "Its a Ferrari" statements come from the fact that it is hard to describe exactly what it means. It isnt just straight line performance because other cars are MUCH faster. It isnt just the racing pedigree because many cars like Porsche have just as strong of a pedigree. It isnt the sound of the engine because a NA flat 6 from a porsche at 9k rpms sounds amazing too.
Its sort of all that and until you really drive one you cant appreciate it. I never bought into that stuff but after driving a Ferrari, it truely is there. My 997 Turbo is the "better" car in every measurable category (Faster, better ride, better quality, better craftsmandship) but just doesnt have the same "IT" as a Ferrari.

Are you jealous, or just have insane insecurity issues? Either way....work them out.

It takes a true enthusiast to understand the statement. I wouldn't say craftsmanship is really better. And the sound of the 360 is like a f1 car. A flat 6 can't compare. My buddy's wonder why I want a 360 over something else with a bazillion hp. They just don't get it. Knuckle draggers

See, and this is what he means. *you* seem very insecure about your choice. If you really liked it you wouldn't be bothered that some people just don't get it.
What does jealous even mean here? Almost everyone in here could be driving a 360 if they really wanted to.
