McKenzie Cylinder heads
I can remember old Alex introducing McKenzie's work years ago. The results were impressive back then.
The above numbers are very interesting. We took a slightly different approach when we did our heads. We first tested heads and then manifolds individually. We found that we were able to get good numbers individually, however when we tested the heads with the manifold we found a wide variation between individual runners. Flowing as we ported (cleaned up) produced a balanced head/manifold combination. I say "cleaned up" because we used stock Cup heads with stock Cup diameter valves with larger stems. The intakes and exhaust were not really ported. Slight grinding was used to match individual port flow and then the manifold runners were also matched.
Here was our final flow results utilizing head/manifold/throttle body and flow testing the manifold runners.
