I was playing with my new camera and a dash app and came up with the following video. This video is not about acceleration numbers but testing out the camera and gauge app.(Although wheel spin at 50mph is cool too). It should make for some awesome videos to come. I think the turbo gauge cluster I made turned out pretty well.

I have a photo shoot scheduled next week, I'll post pics of the final build. This has been a long project with many hurdles to overcome but in the end I have a car that I truly love. I started the project to learn about the 997 because I knew nothing about it. I have learned a lot about it and am not scared to take things apart anymore

Along the journey I've met some really good people and some vendors that really go above and beyond. I want to give a huge thanks to Dzenno from proTUNING freaks. I've had almost a daily dialog with him. He's a great guy and you can depend on him for any support/help you need. Mitch from Cobb.... not much to say here. Everyone can see his daily posts and help. I think he might have cloned himself somehow because you can reach out to him 24 hours a day and somehow always get an answer within 5 minutes? These 2 guys make the choice of picking a new tune a no brainer in my opinion. For the more serious HP guys, Ryan from Syvecs has been incredible. Not only is the Syvecs ECU absolutely amazing, Ryan knows the software inside out. He's an amazing guy and again has been a HUGE help with the setup of the ECU. I now understand Anthony why you refused to sell the Syvecs with the Switzer kit. I can't say enough about him. Lastly, ProdigyMB, thanks! You have been my mentor for all my questions. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my maybe somewhat annoying questions

The car is offically complete. I really have my dream car now. The only thing left is to get on the dyno and make sure I keep the torque in check to keep my rods straight "until fall when I do a full engine build". I've been trying for almost 2 months to schedule some dyno time and well, spring is not the time to quickly get on a dyno. I FINALLY have confirmed the dyno on May 23rd. It's an AWD dyno so it should be pretty painless to strap down and do some runs.

Pics to come!

Congrats! I completely agree with you about Ryan's magic. I had another Turner working on my Syvecs for six months and could not figure it out. I was forced to fly Ryan over and in three hours he had my car running perfectly.

Happy to see she's running great! Enjoy her! Sorry Switzer treated you like crap. I did give you a heads up though. Keep in touch.

After 3 months of trying to get on a local dyno and one last fist up the @ss from Switzer, I finally have an update!

I was working with Ryan from Syvecs on getting the car fully tuned. I figured I better pressure test the system before putting it on the dyno. As soon as I put 5 psi in the intake tract I could hear a pretty major leak. I tracked it down and discovered it was the passenger side Switzer intercooler. (This cooler has 2500 miles on it?). I took it out and to a radiator repair shop. It ended up having a leak in the core AND a 2nd leak in the header. The core was not repairable. They wanted $1700 to re-core it. I had zero confidence in the Switzer intercoolers so I decided to just replace them both. I called Sean at Silly Rabbit and he sent me some intercoolers within the week. They are beautiful. 4.5" cores. Much nicer cores than the Switzer coolers had. I trimmed the top shrouds because of the 4.5" cores and used Gorilla tape around them to seal them after I merged the pieces. Turned out really nice. I ended up having to order some different upper hoses because the silly rabbit ones are mean't for a stock 2" y-pipe. Mine is a 2.5" Switzer y-pipe. Anyway, I got the coolers installed and fixed a few other minor leaks and the car was ready to dyno.

I FINALLY managed to find a new dyno in town last week and they had an opening today. I just got back from the dyno! All I can say is that Ryan is brilliant. Watching the guy remotely tune my car was amazing. He knows the software inside out and corrected all the drivability issues AND 4 different maps in only 9 pulls. He almost makes all my bad experiences with this build worth while. I love the guy.

I had set a goal of 750 whp for this project with stock rods. This is a dynojet dyno today in RWD mode only. I'm really happy with both the final numbers and the way the car drives. I look forward to driving it again.

Here is my chart of the dyno: (855 WHP / 752 WTQ) @ 25 psi/1.7 Bar

Glad to hear she is running good! Ryan is the man! I would never let anyone else tune my car.

Great results! is that on 93 oct + Meth Injection or MS109?

Glad to see you are happy with the car after all the hard work.

Very nice, sucks about all the drama.

Did you leave it tuned that high? 750+ tq and 850whp will likely lead to bent rods sooner or later.

I actually switched over to E85. I'm going to run it for the rest of the year.

Yeah, that's my high boost setting. It "might" see that boost again this year.... realistically it will spend 99% of its time on my 19 psi setting (753 whp, 714 wtq). Even then, I don't have a very heavy foot. Rods will be going in this fall, so the stock rods only have to live maybe another 2000 miles.

Great stuff

If it gets cold watch out on E85... my datalogs and virtual dynos show me making 710 wtq in very cold temps vs 670 wtq in 70F type temps... so if you drive her in the ultracold just be aware of that... I am waiting to get my car in for a basic engine upgrade.....

You are safer of course in a 997TT vs 996TT but just beware

Thanks for the info, it tends to get cold in Canada

The last thing Ryan said to me yesterday.... "It's going to make more power on the street where it can get more air". One of the beautiful things about the Syvecs is that he set a torque limit and it will hold it there if outside variables change.
