Drag Racing Worn Down R888's?
#16
Cool I just need to find an 18x11" centerlock now! If I ever get into drag racing I'll get a set of 18's. But it's not really my thing.

I hear ya. Look at forgeline or ask Betim if he has a used set available for you.

Well new R888's just mounted at BBI.
Our once-a-year drag race event has been moved to Sunday because of a storm that arrives today (Friday). Even if Sunday is sunny, it may be impossible to get from the SoCal basin over to Bakersfield due to weather (have to go over a mountain pass known as the "Grapevine" which may be closed).
If we are able to run Sunday we are going to get nice cool temps. Nowhere near like back east but good for us out here!

Thanks so much for the nice wishes guys!
Hoping to get a trap of 135+. Will be tough to do anything better until the car goes on a diet. The car will be raced tomorrow full weight just like it left the showroom floor except another 100 pounds for the extra fuel cell and 3 gallons of methanol. Plus I'm back to my normal weight of 185. Not even bothering to remove stuff like floor mats haha.
Famoso is not what you call a good track and so I'm hoping for consistent low-mid 10's all day long.
There is a $1,000 prize for the car that accumulates the most points (system provides points for wins, low 60-foot, and low ETs) and considering that there aren't many street cars signed up and surely none that can take the abuse like the 997.2, I can get more runs than any other car which will help me accumulate points if I want to keep running over and over.
