997.1 turbo slight rough idle at start up
When I start my car from cold, it idles a bit rough. Meaning the idle is not consistent at one RPM and vary +- 300rpms. In my past cars, I would clean the idle control valve along with all the intake components and would idle perfectly.
Do our cars come with an idle control valve? Or is there something I should address? |
I get this a bit.
It typically starts at 1000rpm, bounces for about 5 seconds, and then evens out at 1100rpm until the SAI shuts off. |
I'm bumping this thread as I currently have the same symptoms on cold start-up. Any ideas? RPM's fluctuate +/- 200 until warm. I've cleaned maf, air filter, no boost leaks. Now what?

Good. I already cleaned the throttle body plate, MAF etc.
If the calibration operation is documented you should give this a try just to see if it helps. If it does then that's great. If it doesn't then at least you know. |

Check your car's owners manual for any e-Gas calibration operation. AFAIK E-Gas systems require periodic calibration, which is done after a battery replacement but can be done at other times. Sometimes the tech will do this when the car in for service.
