CEL Codes HPFP?

I was driving (gingerly) when my dash lit up with the CEL.

A scan pulled up a 12A1 code. After researching, it seems that Porsche had a campaign for early DFI engines to replace their HPFP or sensors.

I had all of the codes cleared, and have driven many miles and the car drives perfectly. Super fast and crisp as always.

Could it have been an anomaly or the start of something?

Has anyone else had a CEL or an issue with their DFI HPFP or fuel pressure sensors?

I think you answered your own question then started doubting it. Not an anomaly , probably the DFI fuel pump .Is the car still in warranty? If so drive till the code sets again then take it to dealership for replacement . They will need the CEL light on for documentation of warranty claim . I have replaced quite a few DFI pumps (due to the campaign and also code 12A1) ,and it is quite difficult , especially on the Turbo.

Thank you for the info. Does the engine need to drop down?
