Turbo S Cobb Accessport
Not sure this is correct, my stock TTS (pre-FVD tune) regularly registered 17psi. With the FVD tune, you only "see" 17psi on the digital dash reading, (18psi on the bar chart style psi gauge) but the actual output is closer to 20-21psi. The dash gauge doesn't display more than 18psi...you need logs to see the actual values.
I suspect Stage 7 might be onto something, it's very possible the OP's car was already tuned and he just switched from one aftermarket tune to another, producing similar results.

I will want these with my Cobb tune, should read over 17 psi on dash?

Mine is a .2 TTS. Remember the .2 TTS has constant 516 lb-ft of torque (i.e., no overboost) in stock form. The ecu calibration is different between the TT and TTS and more between the .1 and .2 cars. The psi consistently read 17psi at WOT in stock form. Tuned, it hits close to 21psi but the digital gauge still only shows 17psi. Chris is correct, you would need a separate boost gauge to see actual reading (or check logs).
THe dash will max out at 17 psi.
Data logs will provide an answer but a good tune should be day and night.

So I never felt like this thing ever lacked power, but something in me yesterday was randomly saying "I wonder what its like". So I ordered a Cobb Accessport and it was overnighted to me. I installed it today with the Stage 1 93 octane tune expecting to really notice the results. Well I only drove it once so far since installing, and can't say I notice much of a difference. How can you tell its "working" besides from the seat of your pants? Boost gauge in the center of the cluster still reads 17psi at full tilt like it did before. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe the car is much quicker and I just don't realize it since it was pretty quick before hand. I checked the Accessport, and it says the current map installed is the correct one, and installation was successful. Anyone have some insight? Car still drives great, just feels no different than it did before.

Thank you for everyone's input! I've been away for a few days, but have been in contact with Mitch, who has been super helpful. I just need to send him some info and some logs, and we'll be able to figure out if its all in my head or not. Going to order an Accessport for the GTR this week. I think I may notice it even more on a car that is much slower to begin with.

My 996 TTS felt uber quick on a 9 yr old tune and exhaust at 520 bhp... now at 750 bhp on a good day it feels really quick but without logging I could not tell the diff
Log your car using the COBB and do some 3rd gear WOT
40-80 mph
60-100 mph and post times

Haven't had the chance to take the Porsche out again yet, but I Cobb tuned my GTR today and the power increase is much more noticeable! Car is significantly quicker than when it was stock.
Mitch, thank you for sending me the new file for the Porsche. I will be uploading that this week, if I have any questions about it, I will shoot you an email. Do you handle GTR tuning as well, or just Porsche? If so, I got some good logs with the GTR that I'd like someone to take a quick look at who knows what they're looking at.

That's like asking Tyson if he ever boxed professionally before!!LOL!!
Do a little research on COBB'S as they are one of the for-runners/leaders of GTR tuning and many others like WRX/Sti's etc.
