I know its tough but can someone compare the PDk vs the Tip? I mean 10.68 is flying.

 

Make that 3 . I have a tip, stock except for Europipe 1 exhaust. I brake boost all the time and my eyes hurt when I launch the car. The tips are no joke and 0-60's are faster than manuals out of the box (3.4 vs 3.7 per the owner's booklet). I'm sure PDK is a tad faster but don't underestimate a tip!

 

That was 2.7 0-60 sec on that run. Nearly reproducible on the street, a tenth slower, on same bald cheap Kuhmo rubber.

 

You were running 100 octane? Or just the tune?

 

Yeah they are pretty fun cars to drive for feeling the pure speed and power. The cobb tune was a nice improvement, the car just LOVES boost when you drive with sport mode on. You know when you pull out to pass the boost is 3-4psi then stats hauling A$$? The coob you hit it and you are at 7-8 where you were at 3 and its heading for 17 in an eye blink

 

How much power can the Tip handle?

 

Stock is about 700hp. After rebuild +1000hp.

 

Question should be how fast is it at 700 compared to similar car with a manual and 900+

Great question! Not sure many have gotten there. I would love to see the results.

I found this video but its a decade old... I am sure its not indicative of the tuning advancements these days.

Crazy time AND trap speed (means your making good jam) with such minimal mods!

There is nothing like an auto for the drags, which I am now living with the Audi RS7. 1st time me at a drag strip and ran 3 11.4 @ 121's back to back & any one can do it! Put car in Dyanamic, Sport traction control on, load up tq converter till 2200-2500 and wait for the tree!

To tell you the truth your 10.68 @ 130!!!!…..car still is a crazy time and surprises me.

Love to see what it does with more bolt on's.
