900+ whp on my 996tt with gt30/35 hybrid turbos going to gtx2867 and maybe high 7xx whp for road racing along with a lot of upgrades for track, still trying to keep her pretty fast for straights too

2012 DBA GT-R going under the knife soon enough, going to use gtx3076, built engine 3.8 and mild trans build, goal is 1100-1200whp. Will keep it 1000whp max for this year as still on OEM gears

Love both cars, 996tt is way more fun and still a beast compared to the gt-r that runs for now just midpipe and 93oct tune; GTR is easier to drive and can be DD, bigger trunk, + as it's a newer car I have all the multimedia, navi, etc

Just installing as we speak MPSS on the GTR, guess will make it a comfortable DD. Some say one guy will never love both, I feel I do... like GT-R is my wife and the 996tt is my hidden lover, bit different kind of love, just happens to have a big heart

There have been over ten cars that have come and gone within the past year including a few bentleys and two Ferraris. My boss and I have a bit of a car problem.

As far as the GTR they are sort of boring to drive and the cabin noise is super loud. The drivetrains are noisy and sound rickety. The seats are not at all comfortable and if you want to drive it for a few hours at a time it's going to be a rough day.

The 911 with a few modifications out perform the typical driving manner must of us do on a daily basis ( short bursts over a ton ) and it's a way more comfortable car.

With all this being said I'm sure we want different things from our cars and you might enjoy the GTR, these are just my opinions.

As I am new around here I will be sure to be more accurate from here on out, these keyboard tough guys do make me smile though.
Just yanking your chain man!

I know what you mean about car problems. I have had 102 since 1990 when I bought my first car.

I agree with you - I have had stock 911s and stock GT-Rs...hated them. They were both pretty boring. After doing some modding and tweaking...bam! Completely different cars. I am sure the same could be said about every car though.

The suspension on my p car is far from stock...the GT-R is pretty much stock in that department. Even on R mode, the GT-R seems like a caddy compared to the 911. The 911 can get rid of 2 lb. kidney stones during a quick drive around the block...it is the most uncomfortable ride ever, but...it gets driven on spirited drives only and there is no funner car than that for that purpose.

Cheers!
